What is PBIS?

Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support

They are a broad range of systemic and individualized strategies for achieving important social and learning outcomes in school communities while preventing problem behavior.

What can parents do to help their child stay on the path to positive behavior?

  • Review SJE behavior expectations
  • Ask your child about their day at school
  • Make sure your child is ready and arrives on time and ensure a good night’s sleep
  • Keep in touch with your child’s teacher
  • Incorporate responsible, optimistic, attentive, and respect into home family rules
