We are so close to the 2nd Annual SJE PTO Color Run!

September is National Attendance Awareness Month!

Every Day, Every Student Counts! Why Regular Attendance Matters

All month long, our students have been competing against schools across Charlotte County, and after four weeks:  Sallie Jones isn't just first among elementary schools - we're #1 in the ENTIRE district!

  1. Sallie Jones 
  2. Meadow Park 
  3. Kingsway and Myakka River - tied 

With just 0.13% between first and second place, every single day counts. The contest wraps up on Wednesday, so we need our Tigers to be in school all day, every day.  Let's finish strong and bring home the crown!

The PBIS points battle is heating up too. Each week, the grade level with the best attendance earns points, and the top grade for the whole month wins big.

Best grade for this week: 4th Grade  with a whopping 97%! 
The challenge is on - can 5th Grade steal it back??

Picture Day is THIS Thursday!

Say cheese, Tigers! Fall Picture Day is almost here - this Thursday, October 1st.

Information and order forms went home with students, so if yours is still riding around in a backpack, now is the time to dig it out and send it back!

A few reminders to help your Tiger shine:
  • Uniform attire is required
  • Practice those smiles at home... you never know when the photographer might catch a goofy grin instead of a great one!
Picture day is always a fun memory for families and a keepsake you'll treasure for years. We can't wait to see all our Tigers looking sharp!
 

Saddle up, Tigers - our next Spirit Day is rounding the corner!

Yeehaw! Our next Spirit Day is Friday, October 9th - and it's WESTERN WEAR! 

Dust off those boots, grab your hats, and wrangle up your best western attire - flannel, denim, bandanas, the whole frontier look. School appropriate, of course! 😉

It's just $1 to join the roundup, and every dollar helps our school. The corral with the most Tigers in western gear wins bragging rights - so giddy up and bring your school spirit!

Don't be the one varmint left out of the fun - we want to see the whole herd dressed up and ready to ride!
