May is here!!! We have just one month left, and we still have a lot to accomplish. Attendance in May is important as we finish up end-of-year testing and have lots of fun events to conclude the year. Parents, please help us ensure great attendance by communicating with the school when your child will be absent, getting them to school on time, and trying to avoid early check-outs when possible. Below is the testing calendar for the remainder of the year. Attendance on these days is especially important. Please remember that a good night's sleep and a full stomach are a great way to start a testing day. SJE students have access to free breakfast each day.

As we begin our preparations for the 2025-2026 school year, we kindly request your assistance in our planning process. If you know that your child will not be returning to Sallie Jones Elementary for the upcoming school year, please inform us as soon as possible. It is almost time for the arrival of our 2024-2025 Sallie Jones yearbooks!! If you did not pre-order a copy, it is not too late. Flyers will be going home this week for cash or check sales only. Teachers will have a list of their students that have already reserved a copy, just in case you are not sure if you did reserve one, or you can reach out to Mrs. Cole at amy.cole@yourcharlotteschools.net for any questions. There is a limited amount so please don't wait. Look for the print pink flyers early next week!!
