Welcome back families! We hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Intersession and is feeling recharged for the final two months of the school year. April and May are packed with testing dates, field trips, and exciting end-of-year activities, especially for our 5th graders. In my Sunday emails for the next two months, I'll include a calendar of events to help you stay informed.

A significant part of the end of the year involves state testing, which begins in April. I'll also provide a separate calendar specifically for testing dates. It's crucial that students are present on these testing days. Therefore, we kindly request that, if possible, doctor, dentist, or other appointments be rescheduled. Additionally, please ensure your child arrives at school on time on testing days so they can begin testing with their class. Remember, all SJE students are welcome to have breakfast at school in the morning, which will help them feel fueled and ready for testing.

As we begin planning for the next school year, we are now accepting Kindergarten enrollments. If you have an incoming Kindergartner or know of families who do, please contact Michele Sylvester at SJE by calling (941)-575-5440. She will assist with the enrollment process.

Our SJE Tigers will be participating in the April Madness Attendance Challenge. Each class will compete against all other classes at SJE in an NCAA-style bracket challenge. The goal is to improve attendance, decrease tardies, and encourage students to stay for the entire school day!
